Standard Terms & Conditions Applying to the Services Agreement between vendor and Curious Atelier.

General

Curious Atelier (Previously known as Urban Style Lab) will provide styling services to the Vendor and Agents based on over 10 years of experience in property styling. This experience has been detailed in various public forums and is freely available.
When providing this service, Curious Atelier is styling for the open market.
Curious Atelier will conduct its business with a high degree of professionalism and aims to ensure an optimum outcome for the Vendor and Agents.
Curious Atelier will meet the Vendor or Agents to predetermine the scope of work for styling. Attendance at this meeting is actively encouraged to identify any specific requirements of the Vendor or Agents.
If Curious Atelier provides a quote based purely on a floor plan, images or verbal descriptions, the quote may be subject to change once the property has been inspected by Curious Atelier unless otherwise stated.

To secure your installation, please confirm this agreement together with your digital signature within seven days. For bump in request more than 30 days, A 50% deposit of the agreed quote is required within seven days of signing, with the remaining balance due 14 days before installation. Your installation will be confirmed only upon full payment.
For installations booked within 14 days of the bump-in date, full payment is required upfront via credit card or direct transfer. The Pay Later option must be pre-approved before confirmation.
Please note, we do not invoice post-installation. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation.

Once your installation is confirmed, any date change will be treated as a cancellation. Alternate dates are subject to availability and revised pricing. This contract is non-transferable.
Additional work beyond the agreed scope and inclusions will be charged accordingly.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. If cancelled at least 30 days in advance, the deposit will be fully refunded. A 50% cancellation fee applies for cancellations made up to 74 hours before installation, and a 100% fee applies for cancellations within 74 hours. These fees reflect a fair and genuine estimate of our loss due to a cancelled booking.

Access to the property must be clear of any household items, building materials, or cleaning supplies. If items remain, Curious Atelier will relocate them or arrange for their removal or storage at an additional cost to the Vendor or Agents.
If artwork is deemed necessary for styling, it will be hung from existing hooks or new hooks will be installed. The property owner authorises the insertion of hooks for artwork or mirrors. Hooks remain post-collection. If permission is denied, Curious Atelier will not provide artwork or mirrors and no discounts will apply.

Once the property is installed, any changes requested by the Vendor or Agents will incur an additional fee, with styling modifications after installation costing $550+GST.
If Curious Atelier causes any damage to fixtures or walls during installation or removal, we will cover the repair costs. However, the Vendor is responsible for repairing any damage caused by third parties, including pets and children, to Curious Atelier's supplied props and furnishings. This includes damage such as stains, breakages, and missing items.

We highly recommend your photo shoot be booked for the day following installation. Unforeseen delays can occur and therefore we are unable to guarantee a completion time.

A Bond of $2,000 will be held as security for the items that remain on the property for display purposes and will be released upon collection. All damaged or soiled items will be cleaned or replaced using the Bond that will be provided.
All furniture and homewares are for display purposes only and are not to be used in any way. The property owner has full responsibility for damaged or soiled goods and cleaning or replacement costs will apply for any items that are used or damaged upon collection. Separation of personal items during the furniture collection is the responsibility of the homeowner, we cannot be held responsible for incidental items being mistaken for ours and these items will not be returned or replaced.

If the property fails to sell within the initial nominated period of installation & the Vendor requires an extension of time, then a nominated weekly fee (refer to the Fees Page) will be applied and be paid weekly.
Should the property sell within the initial nominated period there will be no refund or reduction of fee.

You agree to release Curious Atelier, its directors, employees, agents, contractors, and affiliated entities from all claims, demands, and liabilities to the fullest extent permitted by law. This includes any loss or damage to property, or injury or illness to any person occurring in or near the property during your hire, except where such liability arises from the negligence of Curious Atelier, its employees, contractors, or agents.
Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold Curious Atelier and its affiliated entities, employees, agents, and contractors harmless against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from injury to any third party or damage to property in or near the venue during your hire, except where such liability results from the negligence of Curious Atelier, its employees, contractors, or agents.

Curious Atelier will not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or government regulations.

In the event of termination of this agreement, you authorise Curious Atelier to access the property to retrieve our items. The property owner agrees to cover all costs incurred by Curious Atelier or its agents in the repossession process, including legal fees on a full indemnity basis. If the items cannot be recovered, they will be considered lost, stolen, or destroyed, and Curious Atelier reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover the full retail replacement value.
